voices making choruses that link corpses in a sea of noises
life is a season in fire
i laugh with understanding at your idiot thoughts
mephistophelian islands are burning to carry your corpses into everlastingness
being warned from the white pages written with white paste
being mauled by the pride of being nobody
your appreciation stabbed me in the back
the painter of mind
the painter of death
in the sense of humans i am mentally deranged but the humans have no fucking sense

Very late to the party, but for several years I've found melodic black metal all too similar and all albums sounding like Dissection, etc... HOWEVER, not only I am back into it but UADA is still a layer of complexity above the main baseline and this is an old album worth having, that's a basic milestone in UADA's discography and I felt it needed to be part of my BC collection. sachavonkarl74

Late 90's BM worship, but it's also a lil more than that. This album takes the best elements from the scene it's inspired by and mostly avoids the worst of it; the song-writing is well-written, it's performed with passion and fun, and the production is raw but isn't lo-fi. (i.e. it doesn't obfuscate and/or suckass).
Tl;dr It's safe but high quality BM. Recommended. Rabbit

Naxen is a German trio playing classic "Norwegian" style BM with doom passages, which in my opinion adds a twist to the oh-so-stomped-chosen-path of the so-called 2nd wave black metal horde. It's almost too slow at times for me, but I can really appreciate the technical prowess from these relatively new guys. The second part, I agree, is where they really stand out! Weiter so! sachavonkarl74
Nearly a decade after their last LP, the Chicago post-metal trio resurface with a punishing concept album set in an apocalyptic wasteland. Bandcamp New & Notable May 5, 2024
The metal’s band revelatory new record crosses genres and styles, effortlessly combining seemingly incompatible subgenres. Bandcamp Album of the Day Apr 26, 2024

Absolutely amazing album. It’s blowing my mind that these guys aren’t more known than this. Killer evil tremolo riffs, harsh high-pitched screams, everything’s oozing evil from every pore. Support this band, they’re going to become pretty big in the next few years. \m/ sakrifilth
